Terms of Puppy Reservation / Purchase

Saratoga Goldens (hereinafter referred to as "SELLER") agrees to sell the puppy described as:

Puppy Breed: Golden Retriever

The puppy will be held only if a non-refundable deposit is received and is still for sale until such time as the seller receives the said deposit. This deposit is transferable to a future litter, if necessary. Full puppy payment MUST be paid for before the puppy leaves the seller’s possession. A full refund will be returned if an accident or injury occurs to the puppy prior to leaving Saratoga Golden’s premises. The deposit will be deducted from the original price when paid in full.

Health Guarantee: Puppy is guaranteed until one year of age against genetic/congenital defects that would cause death or the need to be humanely euthanized. Should the puppy be diagnosed with any life-threatening congenital defect or dies within the first year for no reason, a written veterinarian report, with autopsy, must be submitted in writing and signed by a licensed veterinarian at the buyer’s expense. Seller MUST be notified of the problem within 24 hours of the licensed veterinarian’s determination. The seller must receive a veterinarian report. If the puppy dies and the veterinarian autopsy determines the cause to be congenital, the seller will replace the puppy with the first available puppy of the same value as soon as possible. No replacement puppy will be given if the puppy has been euthanized without the prior permission of the Seller. A returned puppy must be returned to Seller in good condition, other than the specified problem, at the buyer’s expense. The buyer will then qualify for a replacement puppy of equal value (determined by the seller) from our next available litter. The buyer is responsible for transportation costs to and from the Seller. There will be no cash refunds! Vaccinations, deworming, and heart guarding are not covered under this guarantee.

This guarantee does not cover other disorders that environmental factors, such as allergies, thyroid dysfunction, ear mites, mange, and other autoimmune disorders, may cause. This guarantee does not include hernias/ruptures, hypoglycemia, coccidiosis, or giardia, which can happen in puppies that are stressed from moving to new homes. All veterinarian charges incurred by the purchaser are the purchaser's sole responsibility and will under no circumstances be paid by the seller, including spay or neuter charges. The seller guarantees a healthy companion pet but does not guarantee breeding or show quality, adult size, color, coat type, ear set, or temperament. All guarantees shall become null and void if the puppy is sold, given away, or transferred to another person. All guarantees are void if the puppy is purchased at an extremely discounted rate.

Conditions of sale:

1.) Buyer must take the puppy to the veterinarian of choice within the first 72 hours of purchase, at the buyer’s expense, for the health guarantee to be valid. If this is not done, the health guarantee becomes invalid, and the Buyer assumes all responsibility for the puppy's health.

2.) Buyer agrees to maintain the puppy’s health in good condition by

A. maintaining the recommended dose of Nutri-Vet Multi-Vite for one year

B. by providing yearly examinations and any other usual procedures necessary to ensure good health.

3.) Buyer agrees to provide a safe, secure, and suitable environment for this puppy.

4.) Seller guarantees that the puppy will be wormed, vet-checked, and receive his/her age-appropriate vaccinations upon leaving Saratoga Golden’s premises.

5.) Every puppy comes with AKC registration papers with limited registration rights (limits the breeding rights of the dog).

**The Seller neither makes nor implies any warranties or guarantees, express or implied, other than those written in the agreement, including, without limitation, the warranties of merchantability and fitness. This document constitutes the entire agreement between the Seller and Buyer with respect to this sale. The buyer’s signature below indicates that he/she has read, agreed, and understood all the conditions of the sales agreement and contract of sale. Any and all litigations will be handled in Saratoga County in the state of New York.

** Balance must be paid in full with cash or credit card when the puppy is being picked up.  Cash is preferred. Thanks!

Customers and sellers agree upon this mutually beneficial contract when they take their puppy with them from Saratoga Goldens’ premises.
